New Secretary/Manager – Marcus Doig
Marcus has taken over Barry Morrison’s role of Secretary/Manager, as Barry has left to take on a new position in the Hospitality industry in his old home town of Invercargill. We wish Barry and his family all the best.
Marcus has come from Cornwall Cricket, where he was recently been the Bar Manager there, as well being a student studying a Post Grad in Sports Management.
His main career experience so far has been working in Accountancy for many years. Sporting wise, he has played rugby and cricket (to senior level), so bowls maybe next on the agenda. His father, Pat, has been a very experienced bowler so he appreciates and knows the traditions associated with the sport.
Marcus is excited at the challenge of joining Onehunga, and has ideas in place to move Onehunga, and more importantly, bowls forward. He looks forward to meeting all of the members and is on hand at any time to be of service to them.
